Are the plaintexts supposed to be in german, like in the examples?

Would it be possible to give an example of a key file and a description of its format or is the solver supposed to find this out by himself?

Are there any limitations in effect with part 1 of this challenge?

We updated the challenge so that we provide a key file and a description of the key file. There are no limitations in this part of the challenge series.

Greetings,

Anna
