Challenge "Weakened Handycipher — Part 3"

  By: admin on May 12, 2015, 10:34 p.m.

The challenges for the weakened Handycipher serve as an exercise and use an intentionally weakened version of Handycipher. Part 3 is a ciphertext-only challenge.

Handycipher is a newly designed cipher to permit pen-and-paper encrypting and decrypting, while providing a significantly high level of security.

after revealing the plaintext (the fun part) I move on to the tough part of the challenge. In order to avoid physical pain caused by an incorrect entry, I have to ask two questions:

  1. The author is asking for the 4 DIFFERENT last names that appear in the quote, right?
  2. Is the input of the solution case sensitive?

Kind regards, Michael (FoM)

P.S.: Usually I don't have to worry about details like that because Veselovský has done it before.

Hi Michael,

  1. Yes
  2. No, it's not case sensitive.

best, newton
